The project continues in 2021 Windows of the World, column dedicated to international architecture projects based on accessories made by Master Italy. This time, the spotlight is on the important collaboration between Master group and Thermia Barcelona, a leading retailer of systems and solutions for aluminium hardware in Spain.
At the beginning of the year, Thermia and Master Italy worked together to set up, in record time, the new Covid area of the Germans Trias i Pujol hospital, inaugurated on the 1st of February 2021 in Badalona, a municipality to the north of Barcelona. This hospital unit provides highly complex healthcare services to approximately 800,000 people in the north of Barcelona and other Catalan territories, and also serves as a basic general hospital for over 200,000 people in Badalona.
To cover the specific needs of the aluminium locking systems designed for this facility, Master Italy has supplied the WEEN tilt before turn system, which operates first, for the safety of the patients, as a top hung window when the handle is rotated at 90°, and then as a casement window, if a 180° movement is enabled by the key.
The Covid hospital project, like all the other numerous projects carried out during this particularly delicate time, has shown that the close collaboration between our group and THERMIA Barcelona, and working in harmonious cooperation always lead to results obtained with great effectiveness, are the words of Jose Antonio Sanchez, sales manager of Master Italy for Spain.
The Covid area of the Germans Trias i Pujol hospital was created in record time, thanks to the commitment of all of us in developing a facility aimed at the well-being of its patients, and is a flagship of the good commercial and production synergy that we have built over the years with Thermia group.
