Authorized economic operators, identified by the acronym AEO, are companies established in European Union that following a customs audit, have obtained an AEO certification valid throughout the Community customs territory. This authorization gives the company a “license” of reliability and solvency with many advantages. Last December Master received its AEO certificate with level A of reliability. “This is a very important certification which will support our wide range of products with a high standard of service in the customs clearance of goods” – said Stefano Cafagna, CFO. “Fewer physical inspections and scanners, less bureaucracy with a consequent reduction in customs costs, electronic and centralized customs clearance throughout the European Union, but also the exemption from the obligation to present a surety for the use of VAT deposits: these are just some of the advantages that with AEO certification we have obtained for us and for our customers who will see reduced and quite eliminated the waiting time at customs”. This series of benefits also refers to Master customers importing from AEO certified extra-EU countries such as Russia, USA, Tunisia, Morocco, Albania, Mexico and South Korea.
